Post Description

Pay Scale   Level-7 in the Pay Matrix, Rs. 44,900 - 1,42,400/- excluding TA & HRA in metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai, etc.
Age   Not exceeding 30 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 35 years for Scheduled Castes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T.Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   (i) Master’s Degree in Statistics or Operations Research or Forestry or Economics (with Statistics) or Commerce (with Statistics) or Mathematics (with Statistics) or Agriculture (with Statistics) or two years’ Post-Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management from a recognized institute/University.

Note 1- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for the reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

(ii) Two years’ experience in collection or compilation or analysis of data including data in Agriculture or Forestry work.

Note 2- The qualification regarding experience is relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, if at any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from this community possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the posts reserved for them.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   Examination, scrutiny and analysis of projects received from Regional Centres, quarterly/annual reports and monitoring/evaluation of projects received/sanctioned in the Ministry. Besides, Technical Officer (Forestry) Grade-II is also required to prepare various reports/returns/Parliament Questions.
