Post Description

Pay Scale   Level-13 in the Pay Matrix (Rs. 1,23,100/-2,15,900/-)
Age   Not exceeding 50 years as on normal closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government servant upto Five years as per instructions/ orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. For age concession applicable to some other categories of applicant, please see relevant paras of the ‘Instructions and Additional Information to Candidates for Recruitment by Selection’.
Essential Qualification (s)   (A) Educational - Degree in Science or Engineering from a recognised University or Institute, with -
(i) Associateship in Sugar Technology from a recognised University or Institute or
(ii) Post-graduate Diploma in Sugar Technology from a recognised University or Institute and

(B) Experience - (i) Twelve years’ experience of teaching or research or advisory experience in the field of Sugar Technology or
(ii) Twelve years’ practical experience of working in a sugar factory in a managerial capacity.
Note 1- The qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s)   (i) Doctorate in Chemistry or Doctorate in Sugar Technology, or Fellowship in Sugar Technology from a recognised University or Institute
(ii) Experience in drafting and editing of scientific and technological reports and reviews.
Duty(ies)   (i) Teaching, Research and Advisory.
(ii) Any other work assigned by Director.
Probation   One year for direct recruits.
Headquarters   Kanpur, UP (But liable to be posted anywhere in India)
Other Details   General Central Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. The post is permanent.
