Post Description

Pay Scale	Level 10 of the pay matrix (Rs. 56100-177500) as per 7th CPC
Age	Not exceeding 35 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 40 years for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Not exceeding 38 years for Other Backward Classes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/ orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)	A) EDUCATIONAL- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised University or institute. B) EXPERIENCE- Three years’ experience in Planning, execution and maintenance of civil engineering works in Government Sector or any Archaeological or heritage sites. Note1- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified. Note 2- The qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes if at any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.
Desirable Qualification (s)
Duty(ies)	To assist the Superintending Archaeologist in the discharge of his official functions which includes assisting the Superintending Archaeological Engineer in framing conservation programme and implementing conservation programme, conducting conservation works, Drawing up conservation /inspection notes for monuments, check measuring of works processing and scrutinizing estimates, Performing functions as assigned by Superintending Archaeologist of Circle.
Probation	Two year
