Post Description

Pay Scale   Level-13 of the Pay Matrix
Age   Not exceeding 55 years for Scheduled Castes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/ U.T. Government servant upto Five years as per instructions/ orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. For age concession applicable to some other categories of applicant, please see relevant paras of the ‘Instructions and Additional Information to Candidates for Recruitment by Selection’.
Essential Qualification (s)   A. Educational- Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering of a recognized University or Institute.

B. Experience- Twelve years research or practical or teaching experience in the field of Chemical Engineering or experience in designing or operation of Sugar Factory or Chemical Plant.

Note 1- The qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

Note 2- The qualifications regarding experience are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Castes, if at any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from this community possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the post reserved for them.
Desirable Qualification (s)   A. Educational-Doctorate in Chemical Engineering from recognized University or Institute

B. Experience- Experience of working in Sugar and allied Industry at Managerial position

C. Publication- Publication of research papers in Chemical Engineering Discipline.
Duty(ies)   (i) Teaching, Research and Advisory.
(ii) Any other work assigned by Director.
Probation   One year.
Headquarters   Kanpur, UP (But liable to be posted anywhere in India)
Other Details   General Central Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. The post is permanent.
