Post Description

Pay Scale   Level-10 in the pay matrix (Rs. 56,100-1,77,500/-) plus NPA
Age   Not exceeding 30 years for EWS candidates as on the normal closing date in case of vacancies reserved for them. Not exceeding 35 years for Scheduled Castes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/UT Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   EDUCATIONAL -

(i) A recognized Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate Qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in the Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in the sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

(ii) Completion of compulsory rotating internship.

NOTE- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s)   Three years experience in Family Planning and educational method including training technique of medical termination of pregnancy and tubectomy operations.
Duty(ies)   LMO will be responsible for implementation of Family Welfare Programme. She will provide consultation on Family Welfare methods, carryout IUD insertion and perform/arrange for sterilization operation of volunteers. She will be required to make home visits for promotion of Family Welfare and also be responsible for administration of Family Welfare Centres.
Probation   2 years.
Headquarters   Directorate General of Armed Forces Medical Services, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi.
Other Details   General Central Services, Group “A”, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. The post is permanent.
Any Other Conditions   Only female candidates are eligible to apply. The LMO (FW) will have to serve anywhere in India.
