Post Description

Pay Scale	Pay Level-10 as per 7th CPC
Age	Not exceeding 35 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 35 years for EWS candidates in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Not exceeding 38 years for OBC candidates in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Not exceeding 40 years for SC/ ST candidates in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Note- Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto 05 years as per instructions/ orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)	A- EDUCATIONAL- Degree in Engineering in Civil or Mechanical or Computer Science or Information Technology or Aeronautical or Electrical or Electronics disciplines from a recognized University OR Masters Degree in Science in the subjects of Electronics or Physics from a recognized University OR B.Sc Degree from a recognized University or equivalent with Physics or Electronics as subjects. B. Experience- Two years experience for Degree in Engineering / One year experience for M.Sc / Three years experience for B.Sc. in (a) Air Traffic Control with Aerodrome Control or Approach Control or Area Control rating or (b) Licensing of Aerodromes or Flight Crew or Air Transport or (c) Management of Airside operations of major or International Civil Airport or (d) Aircraft flying with Commercial Pilot License or (e) Aircraft Flying in Defence Services or (f) Flight operations department of a Schedules Airlines or (g) Aerodrome Design and Planning. Note 1- (i) The period of required experience may also be considered by combining experience in more than one field listed above. Further, experience obtained in multiple fields in a particular year will be treated as a single period towards total experience. (ii) The period of actual training in any of the specialized area (as specified in the essential qualification above) may be counted towards experience provided that such benefits will be restricted to a maximum period of one year. Note 2- The qualification are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. Note 3- The qualifications regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Schedule Tribe, if any stage of selection, the Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.
Desirable Qualification (s)
Duty(ies)	Assisting in work relating to standardisation of Aerodromes, Licensing of airport, Licensing of Flight Crew, permits for operations of Non- scheduled Operators/ Air Taxi Operators/ Scheduled Domestic Operators, standardisation of procedures relating to Air Traffic Systems and ratings of Air Traffic Controllers, investigation of operational incidents to aircraft including Air Traffic Control incidents.
Probation	01 (One) year for direct recruits.
Headquarters	Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Opp. Safdarjung Airport, Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi with All India Service Liability.
Other Details	General Central Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. The post is permanent.
Any Other Conditions	Training- The newly inducted officers shall be provided induction training for a period of minimum two weeks to enable officers to get a general understanding about the organization, its vision and mission and acquire necessary competency required for performing their job. After completion of initial induction training, the newly inducted officers will be provided on the job training to enable them to handle their responsibility independently.
