| Pay Scale | Academic Level 13A1 with rationalized entry pay of Rs. 131400/- as per 7th CPC |
| Age | Not exceeding 48 years for Other Backward Classes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancy reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central / UT Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. | Essential Qualification (s) |
A. EDUCATIONAL- Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering and Master of Engineering/ Master of Technology in Civil Engineering (Public Health & Environment) with First Class or equivalent either in Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology or Master of Engineering/ Master of Technology and Doctor of Philosophy in the discipline of Civil Engineering. B. EXPERIENCE- Minimum five years experience in Teaching or Research or industry of which two years post Doctor of Philosophy experience is desirable. Note 1- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. Note 2- If a class or division is not awarded, minimum of sixty percent marks in aggregate shall be considered equivalent to first class or division. If a Grade point system is adopted the Cumulative Grade Point Average will be converted into equivalent marks as below.
