Post Description

Pay Scale   Pre-revised Pay Scale- Rs. 15600 – 39100 plus Grade Pay of Rs. 6600 in PB – 3. Revised Pay as per 7th CPC Level-11 (Rs. 67700-208700) in the Pay Matrix. Total emoluments excluding T.A. & HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs.67700/- plus DA as applicable plus Special Incentive Allowance @ 20% of Basic Pay p.m.
Age   Not exceeding 40 years as on normal closing date for UR, EWS & ST category candidates. Not exceeding 43 years for OBC candidates and 45 years for Scheduled Castes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/UT Government Servants upto Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Government of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   1. Degree in law from a recognized University or Institute and

2. Three years experience at bar dealing with criminal laws or fiscal laws.
OR
1. Master’s Degree in law from a recognized University or Institute and

2. One year experience at bar dealing with criminal laws or fiscal laws.

Note 1-Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

Note 2-The qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste, if at any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from this community possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   i) To give advice on all matters referred by the various Ministries/Departments of the Government of India.

(ii) To Look after Government litigation work.

(iii) To appear in courts on behalf of the Central Government, wherever required and

(iv) To perform administrative and other works as may be assigned.
Probation   One Year
Headquarters   Directorate of Enforcement, A-Block, Pravartan Bhawan, DR. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Road, New Delhi-110011 with all India Service Liability.
Other Details   General Central Service, Group ‘A’ Gazetted, Non – Ministerial. The post is permanent.
