Post Description

Pay Scale   Pay Level-11 in the Pay Matrix
Age   Not exceeding 40 years as on normal closing date. Note- Relaxable for regularly appointed Central Government Servant upto 05 years as per instructions/ orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   A. Educational
(i) A degree in any discipline.
(ii) Having Undergone a Category-6 Dangerous Goods training course duly approved by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) or International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) or International Air Transport Association (IATA).

Note 1 The qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

B. Experience
Total experience of 05 years as under
(i) 05 years’ experience in handling of air cargo in scheduled operations.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   Conduct on-site inspections/audits of airline operators, shippers, freight forwarders, and airport operators. Submit inspection reports to Chief Dangerous goods Inspector. Finalize audit findings, communicate to organizations, follow up for corrective actions, and prepare reports. Review Dangerous Goods Manuals, Flight Operations Manuals, and training programs of air operators, airport operators, and ground handling agencies.
Probation   02 (Two) years subject to successful completion of mandatory induction training.
Headquarters   Directorate General of Civil Aviation, opp. Safdarjung Airport, Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi with AISL
Other Details   General Central Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.
The post is permanent. Place of posting Delhi, DGCA Hqrs.
Any Other Conditions   Training- The newly inducted officers shall be provided an induction training for a period of minimum 02 weeks to enable officers to get a general understanding about the organisation, its vision and mission and acquire necessary competency required for performing their job. After completion of initial induction training, the newly inducted officers will be provided on the job training to enable them to handle their responsibility independently.
