Post Description

Pay Scale   Level 10 in the Pay Matrix (Rs.56100-177500)
Age   Not exceeding 35 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 40 years for Scheduled Tribes candidates in respect of the vacancy reserved for them as on normal closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/ orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   (A) Educational-

Master’s degree in Russian language from a recognised University or Institution.

(B) Experience-

One year experience in teaching or translation from Russian language to English or Hindi or vice-versa.

Note 1- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

Note 2- The qualification regarding experience is relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes, if at any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from this community possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the posts reserved for them.
Desirable Qualification (s)   Doctorate degree (Ph.D) in Russian language from a recognized university.
Duty(ies)   • To teach Foreign Languages to a very high standard including the Interpreter-ship standard.
• Setting of question papers for various examinations.
