Post Description

Pay Scale	Revised Pay as per 7th CPC Level-8 (Rs. 47600-151100) in the Pay Matrix.
Age	Not exceeding 30 years for General Category candidates as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 30 years for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates, 33 years for Other Backward Class candidates, 35 years for Scheduled Caste candidates and 35 years for Scheduled Tribe candidates as on normal closing date in case of vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/UT Government Servant upto Five years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by Central Government from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)	EDUCATIONAL- A Degree in Law from a recognized University/Institute. Note- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified. EXPERIENCE- Three years of experience at the bar. Note- The qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Caste or Schedule Tribes, if at any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancy reserved for them.
Desirable Qualification (s)	Experience as Government Advocate.
Duty(ies)	To conduct cases in courts of Metropolitan Magistrates on behalf of Govt. of NCT of Delhi/Teach Law in any institution/organization and give advice to police in criminal cases/maintain record/statistical information of criminal cases pending in MM Courts.

Other Details	General Central Service, Group ‘B’ Gazetted, Non – Ministerial. 65 vacancies are permanent and 01 vacancy of the OBC category is temporary. Reservation under OBC category will be provided only to those candidates who submit OBC certificates issued by GNCT of Delhi. Candidates who submit OBC certificate issued by other States/UTs will be considered as General/Unreserved candidates against General/Unreserved vacancies.
