Post Description
Pay Scale | Level-10 in the pay matrix (Rs. 56,100-1,77,500/-). |
Age | Not exceeding 35 years as on the normal closing date. Not exceeding 40 years for Scheduled Caste/Tribes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Not exceeding 38 years for Other Backward Classes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/UT Government Servants upto Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s) |
EDUCATION- (i) A recognized veterinary qualification included in the first schedule or second schedule of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 (Number 52 of 1984). (ii) Should be registered with the State Veterinary Council or Indian Veterinary Council. NOTE- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. |

• To be in-charge of all development programme of the department under his jurisdiction. • To formulate schemes and monitoring of and proper implementation of the schemes. • To guide and advise the farmers in all respects for various developmental programme popular among them. • Shall be responsible for proper implementation of the plans in association with the elected bodies/Panchayat at Pradhan. • To function as in-charge of Veterinary Hospital, Veterinary Dispensary, Cattle Farm, Hatchery, Poultry Farm, Goat Farm etc. • Coverage to livestock and poultry at various Mobile Veterinary Dispensaries including treatment of Livestock poultry & vaccination under his/her jurisdiction. • Carryout Artificial insemination programme under his/her jurisdiction. • To conduct veterinary camps and other Animal Husbandry Extension activities in the village under his/her jurisdiction. • To conduct Livestock and poultry shows, calf rallies, farmers demonstration/training programme under his/her jurisdiction. • To implement the various approved plan programme under his/her jurisdiction. • To submit regular reports pertaining to his/her jurisdiction for regular monitoring/supervision of the implementation of various plan programme. • To supervise the functioning of Veterinary sub-dispensaries in his/her jurisdiction and to be in-charge of the staff posted under him/her. • To carry out any other works as assigned by the Director AH&VS/Controlling Officer. Additional Duties- • He will be responsible for the timely implementation of the developmental schemes/programmes. • He will be the in-charge of all the institutions working under him and also be responsible to extend the benefit of the programme to farmers. |
