Post Description

Pay Scale   Level-11 in the pay matrix (₹ 67,700-2,08,700/-) Plus NPA .
Age   Not exceeding 35 years for General and EWS candidates as on the normal closing date. Not exceeding 40 years for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Not exceeding 38 years for Other Backward Classes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/ U.T. Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   EDUCATION-

(i) A recognized Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule
should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Sub Section 13 (3)
of the Indian Medical council act, 1956

(ii) Post graduate Degree/Diploma or equivalent in in the concerned speciality i.e. M.S. ( Oto-Rhino-Laryngology)/ Speciality Board of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology (USA)/ D.L.O./ D.O.R.L.


EXPERIENCE-
One year’s experience in the concerned speciality after obtaining the Post-graduate degree or two years’ experience after obtaining post-graduate Diploma.

NOTE-1 The qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

NOTE-2 The qualification regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes if at any stage of selection, the Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.

NOTE-3 The candidates holding DNB qualification would need to get their qualification verified by NBE as to whether it is as per the requirement of Gazette Notification No. MCI-12(2)2010-Med.Misc dt. 11.06.2012 & produce such certificate at the time of interview.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   Independently manage the concerned clinical specialty in all aspects including diagnosis, treatment and follow-up, conduct research, academic and developmental activities. Perform Administrative activities related to the specialty. Any other job assigned by the Administration.

Other Details   Railway medical service Group A Gazetted Non-ministerial. The post is permanent.
Any Other Conditions   Person appointed to the service shall not be allowed private practice of any kind whatsoever including any consultation and laboratory practice.
