Post Description

Pay Scale	As per 7th CPC Level – 10.
Age	Not exceeding 35 years for General/EWS/OBC/ST categories candidates as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 40 years for Schedule Castes as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for Central/UT Govt. servants upto five years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Govt. Essential Qualification (s)	A. Educational - Degree in law from a recognized University or Institution. B. Experience - Three years experience of Judicial or Legal work in the field of Customs, Excise and Service Tax matters. Note -1. Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. Note-2. The qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates belong to the Scheduled Castes, if at any stage of selection, the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from the community possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.
Desirable Qualification (s)
Duty(ies)	To receive appeals/stay/Misc. petitions in the relevant form, scrutiny of appeals, fix the date of hearing of appeals, applications, petition or other proceedings and issue notices/ Final/Stay/Misc orders thereof. Deal with matters relating to Administration and General.
Probation	One (01) Year for Direct recruits
Headquarters	New Delhi with All India service liability
Other Details	General Central Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. Vacancies are Permanent in nature.
