| Pay Scale | Level-10 in the pay matrix (56,100-177500/-) |
| Age | Not exceeding 35 years as on the normal closing date. Note- Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/UT Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. | Essential Qualification (s) |
EDUCATION- (i) Post Graduate degree in Physics from a recognised University or institution with Post M.Sc. Diploma in Radiological or Medical Physics from a recognised University or institution and an internship of minimum twelve months in a recognised well equipped Radiation Therapy Department of a recognised institution. OR (ii) Degree in Science from a recognised University with Physics as one of the main subjects with post graduate degree in Radiological or Medical Physics from a recognised University and an internship of minimum twelve months in a recognised well equipped Radiation Therapy Department. NOTE- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. |
| Desirable Qualification (s) | Successful completion of Radiological Safety Officer Examination conducted by Radiological Physics and Advisory Division, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai. |
| Duty(ies) |
(i) To work in various radiotherapy and brachytherapy units, mammography unit, simulators and treatment planning systems. (ii) To handle radioactive sources for brachytherapy and maintain a record of all material. (iii) To maintain the storage, supply and safe movement and return radioactive sources. (iv) All duty assigned to technical supervisor from time to time. (v) Any other radio-therapeutic work assigned by Head of the Department. |
