Post Description

Pay Scale	Pay Level-11 as per 7th CPC
Age	Not exceeding 40 years as on normal closing date. Note- Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto 05 years as per instructions/ orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)	A- EDUCATIONAL- Degree in Naval Architecture from a recognized University or equivalent*. *Equivalent means any Technical Institutes recognized by AICTE/UGC and not to be construed as educational qualification. B- EXPERIENCE- Five years practical experience in design/ installation/ construction of ships. Note 1- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s)
Duty(ies)	(a) Undertake basic and detailed design activities of mechanical/ marine engineering system and their modifications related to design of ships, submarines and yard crafts. (b) Scrutinise, analyse and approve quotations and specifications, of drawings received from outside agencies as per design procedures/ suitability criteria. (c) Prepare SOTR’s and monitor various activities related to ship construction.
