Post Description

Pay Scale   As per 7th CPC- Level-10 (Rs. 56,100 – 1,77,500/-) in the Pay Matrix. (Total emoluments excluding T.A. & HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs.56,100/-plus DA per month as applicable approximately.)
Age   Not exceeding 35 year for Economically Weaker Section as on normal closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/ orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   A.EDUCATIONAL- Masters Degree in Geo-physics from a recognized University or Institute.

B.EXPERIENCE- Possessing three years experience in Geo-physics.

Note - Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing in the case of the candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   Characterization of strata at the project site, conducting geophysical investigations at the project sites, collection of samples from the project sites, analysis and compilation of tests results, maintenance of testing equipments, preparation of reports, formulation of project proposals, Research and Development Activities, Publication of research papers and collection and maintenance of data base on the area of activities.
Probation   01 year
Headquarters   Central Soil and Materials Research Station, New Delhi, With All India Service Liability.
Other Details   General Central Service, Group ‘A’ Gazetted. Non-Ministerial. The post is permanent.
Any Other Conditions   Ataxic is not suitable for the post.
