Post Description

Pay Scale   Pay Level-10 as per 7th CPC
Age   Not exceeding 35 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 38 years for Other Backward Class candidates as on normal closing date in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Note- Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto 05 years as per instructions/ orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   A) (i) Bachelor of Engineering or Technology in Mining Engineering from a recognised University or Institution;
(ii) 03 years experience in core Mining activity in:-
a) Managerial position in Metalliferous (Non-coal) mines which includes the period as graduate or management or junior trainee engineer, or
b) Government department dealing with mines and minerals in level-7 in the pay matrix (Rs. 44900-142400) or above.
OR
B) (i) Master of Engineering or Technology in Mining Engineering from a recognised University or Institution.
(ii) 01 year experience in core Mining activity in :-
a) Managerial position in Metalliferous (Non-coal) mines which includes the period as graduate or management or junior trainee engineer; or
b) Government Department dealing with mines and minerals in level-7 in the pay matrix (Rs. 44900-142400) or above.

Note: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   Inspection of mines for systematic development, conservation of minerals and protection of mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957 and rules made thereunder. To prefer court complaints for violations of Mines and Minerals (Development & Regulation) Act and rules made thereunder. To advise the mine owners on the adoption of appropriate technology for prospecting and mining, utilization of low grade minerals and rejects, protection of environment in mining areas, beneficiation of minerals. To monitor the mining activities in accordance with the approved mining plan/scheme of mining.
Probation   02 (two) years
Headquarters   Headquarter is in Nagpur (Maharashtra) with service liability anywhere in India.
Other Details   General Central Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. The post is permanent.
