Post Description

Pay Scale   Level-11 (Rs. 67700-208700) in the pay matrix as per 7th CPC
Age   Not exceeding 40 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 50 years for PwBD candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/ orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   A. EDUCATIONAL-
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical or Chemical or Marine or Production or Industrial or Instrumentation or Civil Engineering or Architecture or Textile Chemistry or Textile Technology of a recognized university or Associate member of Institute of Technology (AMIE)

B. EXPERIENCE-
Five years experience in an Engineering Workshop or industry or Training Institute, relating to the field mentioned in educational qualifications.

Note 1- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidate otherwise well qualified.

Note 2- Only those candidates who were enrolled for Associate Member of Institution of Engineers (AMIE) up to 31.05.2013 are eligible for consideration to the post of Deputy Director (Staff Training/ Productivity) (Direct Recruitment) and the candidates who have enrolled on or after 01.06.2013 for AMIE are not eligible for consideration to the post of Deputy Director (Staff Training/Productivity) (Direct Recruitment)
Desirable Qualification (s)   (i) Masters Degree from a recognized university or Institute in Engineering or Technology relevant the trade mentioned in educational qualifications.

(ii) Experience in planning, organising or conducting training programmes for supervisors and other management personnel
OR
Experience of Productivity Science in an engineering workshop or industry or training Institute.
Duty(ies)   i. Conducting training programmes for trainers and supervisors.
ii. To provide advice and coordinating with industries for studies including research surveys in the areas of productivity.
iii. Carry out studies / surveys for improving their productivity, safety and health
iv. Conduct courses in Modern Industrial Engineering techniques.
Probation   One year subject to completion to two weeks of induction training as prescribed by Department.
Headquarters   Mumbai but liable to serve All India.
Other Details   This post is permanent. General Central Service, Group – ‘A’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.
Any Other Conditions   Probation of One year subjected to completion to two weeks of induction training as prescribed by Department.
