| Pay Scale | Level-10 (Rs. 56100-177500) in the pay matrix as per 7th CPC |
| Age | Not exceeding 35 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 38 years for Other Backward Classes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Not exceeding 40 years for Scheduled caste candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/ orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. | Essential Qualification (s) |
A. EDUCATIONAL- Bachelors degree in Civil engineering from a recognized university or institute B. EXPERIENCE- Possessing three years Experience in Civil Engineering. Note 1- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidate otherwise well qualified. Note 2- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes if at any stage of selection, the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from this community possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them. |

| Duty(ies) | Construction material survey, collection of construction materials such as soil, rock, sand and aggregates samples and geotechnical data from project sites, conducting field tests at the project site, conducting laboratory tests on the construction materials, analysis and compilation of tests results, preparation of reports, formulation of project proposals, Research and Development activities, publication of research papers and collection and maintenance of database on the area of activities. |
