Post Description

Pay Scale   Level-10 in the pay matrix (56,100-177500/-) plus NPA
Age   Not exceeding 35 years as on the normal closing date. Not exceeding 40 years for Scheduled Tribes candidates as on the normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Note- Relaxable for regularly appointed Central Government/UT Servant upto Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   EDUCATION-

(i) Degree in Ayurveda of a recognized University/Statutory State Board/Council/Faculty of Indian Medicine or equivalent recognized under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970 (48 of 1970).

(ii) Enrolment on the Central or state register of Indian Medicine.

NOTE - Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   (i) To diagnose and treat patients in O.P.D./I.P.D.
(ii) Administration of Ayurvedic Unit of which he/she is put in-charge.
(iii) To attend health Camps/Melas organized by NDMC/Govt. of NCT of Delhi/Govt. of India.
(iv) To perform any other duties assigned by the Director (AYUSH) from time to time.
Probation   One year
Headquarters   New Delhi Municipal Council, New Delhi
Other Details   AYUSH cadre of NDMC, Category A. The post is permanent.
Any Other Conditions   Private Practice of any kind whatsoever is prohibited, for which non-practicing allowance (NPA) is allowed.
