Post Description

Pay Scale	Level-8 of Pay Level Matrix (Rs. 47600-151100/-).
Age	Not exceeding 30 years for General and EWS category candidates as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 35 years for Scheduled Castes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Not exceeding 33 years for Other Backward Classes candidates as on normal closing dated in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government servants upto five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)	A. Educational- Master’s Degree from recognised University in Physics/Applied Physics/Chemistry/Polymer Chemistry/Electronics. OR Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from recognised University or Institute in Electronics/Telecommunication/Computer Science/Information Technology/Metallurgical/Mechanical/Aeronautical/Chemical. Note- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC, for reasons to be recorded in writing in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. B. Experience- Two years experience in production, development or Quality Assurance in the field of Armaments/Electronics/Aeronautical/Underwater applications from Organisations in Central/State Government/Union Territory administration or Autonomous or statutory organisation/Public Sector Undertakings/University/Recognised Research Institution or private Organisation listed in the Stock Exchanges of India. Note- The qualifications regarding experience is relaxable at the discretion of UPSC, for reasons to be recorded in writing in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes if, at any stage of selection, the UPSC is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from the community possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the posts reserved for them.
Desirable Qualification (s)
Duty(ies)	(a) Preparation and analyzing of test reports of Lab samples. (b) Calibration and maintenance of the equipment. (c) Carries out the analysis/tests for certain critical samples/jobs as per the requirement. (d) Monitors and guides the Scientific Staff in carrying out analysis/tests and maintain log books and reports.
Probation	02(Two) Years
Headquarters	New Delhi with All India Service Liablity.
Other Details	General Central Service, Group ‘B’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. The post is permanent.
