Post Description

Pay Scale	Level-7 (Rs. 44,900-1,42,400/-) in the Pay Matrix as per CCS (R.P) Rules, 2016.(Total emoluments excluding T.A. & HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 44,900/-p.m. plus DA as applicable)
Age	Not exceeding 30 years for General category candidates as on normal closing date, not exceeding 30 years for EWS category candidates and not exceeding 33 years for Other Backward Class candidates as on normal closing date in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Note- Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servants upto Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)	A.(1) Bachelor’s degree in Science from a recognized University or Diploma in any branch of Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or Institution (2) Station Officer and Instructors Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur (3) Three years experience in firefighting or training as Sub Officer or Sub Inspector (Fire) OR Senior Instructor or Assistant Fire Officer or Assistant Station Officer or higher rank in a recognized full time Fire Brigade or Service in the Central Government or State Government or Union territory Administration or Municipal Corporation or Industrial or Aviation or Port or Government recognized Fire Service Training Institute and (4) should have minimum physical standard, i.e. Height Not less than 165 cm (Relaxable by 5 cm for hill area candidates), Chest81cm normal, minimum expansion 5 cm, Weight Not less than 50kg, Hearing Normal, Speech Normal. OR B.(1) Bachelor’s degree in Fire Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or Institution (2) should have minimum physical standard, i.e. Height Not less than 165 cm (Relaxable by 5 cm for hill area candidates), Chest81cm normal, minimum expansion 5 cm, Weight Not less than 50kg, Hearing Normal, Speech Normal. Note 1- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s)	1. Valid heavy Vehicle Driving License and 2. Medical First Aid Responder or Urban Search and Rescue course from a recognized Institute.
Duty(ies)	To inspect fixed fire fighting installation system, Fire Station, parades, drills etc., to proceed on industrial tour with trainee officers of all professional courses, to act as Course Director as and when assigned, to attend to instructional work as per time table including class room lectures in all professional courses, to carry out any other official work/duty as assigned by the Deputy Directors/Director.
